A Cuppa Thanks!!

Hello,

Today I'm back with a quick ATC that I made within 15 minutes!

I got the coffee cups and sentiment digital stamp designed by my dear friend Akshma! I love those beautiful cups :) Thank you Aksh! :)

Wanna know how this ATC is made? Very simple with the basic minimum supplies required!

I printed the digi image on a normal white paper. Any guesses on what I used for the coloring? Sketch pens and glitter pens! That's all! :) The top flower cup, the bottom striped cup and the plate are colored using glitter pens. I love the shimmer effect :) The middle cup is colored with blue and red sketch pens. I then fussy cut the image and stuck onto a white base cs. The sentiment is also a digi stamp, which is fussy cut using design bordered scissors and distressed using distress ink. Adhered the sentiment also to the base, drew a few colorful stars here and there, and the ATC is done :)

Here is another pic that shows the shimmer effect.

ATCs - Neko Good Times

Hello!

I just couldnt get enough of the digi stamps Kitty Bee Design - Maneki Neko Cat. They are so cute and lovely that I went ahead and created some ATCs this time :)

Aren't they beautiful? :) They are so simple to make as well!
All I did was take a light blue CS and distress the edges with Salty Blue distress ink for the base. I then used the stars design from the Mini Punchinella stencil from the Crafters Workshop, and distressed using the same blue. I printed, colored and fussy cut the Neko kitties and added to the base card. Then stamped the sentiment, and that completes the ATC :)

Here are some close up pics.

These kitties have now travelling to different parts of the world :) Happy Journey!! :)

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Hello,

Here comes a card with best wishes for a baby boy :)

After a long time, I've tried to get quilling onto a card. So a short tutorial follows :)

I took a light blue patterned paper and cut out a circle. Cut and discard a part of the circle to give the base shape of a baby carriage. Then took a light blue quilling strip and stuck it to the edges of the carriage, carefully in shape.

Using the beehive technique of quilling, made as many coils as you require to fill in. Now the reason to choose a light blue patterned paper as base is to not show up white empty space when you fill it with the quilled strips.

This is how it looks after filling the entire carriage.

I then quilled 2 circle shaped loose coils and stuck to the bottom. These form the wheels of the carriage.

To add more interest to the carriage, I've added pearl stickers around the borders.

The next step is to take an embossed light blue cardstock, distress it along the borders with Salty Ocean distress ink and adhered the baby carriage to it.

I've then added 3 very thin strips as the wands for the stars. The stars are punched out and layered using foam tape to give some dimension. I also bordered the stars using glitter pen.

I then stamped the sentiment onto a different sheet of patterned paper, distressed the borders again and added to the panel using foam tape. Finally mounted the panel on to the base white cs and the card is ready :)

Post Card

Hello,

This time, it's a new creation! Something that we have seen a lot during chilhood days but is almost extinct now! :)

A post card!

ICR coasteride for the month of June has the theme of a post card - designed completely by you!
Check it out here.

So this is my first post card. I took a 4x6 inch cs as base, added light blue patterned paper to it. This -paper goes perfectly with the theme for the contest - with hearts and flowers.

I love blue and wanted to have a tone on tone effect. So all that I needed next was Salty Ocean distress ink and 2 stamps - butterflies and the alphabet set. I randomly stamped a few butterflies and then added my own sentiment using mini alphabet stamp set.
"Let your heart be a garden full of blossoms of love" - inspired by the poem in the pic for the coasteride! Isn't that lovely? ;)

To the back of the card, I drew the typical post card look using blue marker pen.

That's it, the post card is ready :)

Neko Happy Birthday :)

Hello,

Now here is a card I made using the digi stamps I won at the Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog.

Check out the digi stamps here - Kitty Bee Design - Maneki Neko Cat

Aren't these kitten cute? :) I totally love them!

On to how I made the card,
I first printed the digital images on a normal white paper. Colored all the kittens similar using Fuji transparent water color folios.

I took an embossed light blue cardstock that has candles embossed all over it - a perfect option for a birthday card! Distressed the cs using blue DI to get the highlight effect, fussy cut the colored Neko images and adhered them to the blue cs.

I stamped the sentiment onto a small piece of white cs, using blue DI. Adhered the sentiment to the blue cs using foam tape. Finally, mounted the panel to white cs and the card is complete :)

Some more pics,

My First set of ATCs

Hello!

I guess I'm late in posting this, but better late than never! :)

This was my first set of ATCs for an international ATC Exchange group on Facebook.

Does it look like a lot of effort?? What if I say it was the easiest to make? Can't believe me?
So here it is! This might throw some light on what exactly I did!

Since I am a beginner on ATC techniques, I wanted to start with a simple idea and here is the magic! :)

I just used a patterned paper that has this wonderful stamped images and scripts. All I had to do was blend colors on the PP using colors of Distress inks! And this is my first try on blending with DI, I know it's a long way to go!

Yet, isn't that wonderful? An easy start!
